Yesterday evening our u14 squad travelled to Ballylooby to take on Emly in Round 2 of the u14 county championship, after suffering defeat to Newport in round 1 but after after putting up a good performance and after battling hard the young squad were eager to get back in action this week.

With the game getting off to a fast start our defense was holding up well both Alann and Blake put in stellar performance, battling hard for every ball and not leaving anything passed them, And anything that did get passed Siya was safe as houses behind them in the goal.

After withstanding some early pressure the older lads on the team came storming into the game, Lead by Charlie and Dylan with both scoring great goals we started to get a foothold in the game, The team was starting to pass the ball around well when Noah got on the end of a great move to get another goal.

Up front we were back boned by the younger lads in the squad and all three of David, Sultan, and Gearoid, put in a massive shift up front and all getting on the score sheet as we were able to get our first win on the board.

It was great to see this young team get their first win on the board, hopefully they can build on this and add to the squad as they look forward to traveling to JK Brackens next Thursday evening
