*Positions Played
I’ve played every position on the field but wing back or centre back would be my main positions.
*Favourite game played
U21 south final against mullinahone, the game went to extra time and the feeling after winning will never be topped I’d give anything to do it all over again.
*Club players you looked up too growing up
Richie McGrath and Lee Mackey two top class hurlers, watching them when I was younger it was like looking up to senior hurlers for Tipperary. Luckily I’ve got to share a jersey with both of these men and they’ve helped me develop my game a lot.
*Best players you played with
Lee Mackey is the best hurler I’ve ever played with he always performs in every game he plays, overall he has all the qualities a top hurler should have.
And Stephen Cronin, his experience and knowledge of the game is unbelievable. A very strong hurler and always there for a bit of advise when it’s needed.
*Best memory playing
I’d have to say winning the u21 south again, that team grew up playing together underage and had got to lots of finals but never got over the line so to finally win it with that group of players and coaches was special.
*What player trained the hardest from any squad you were part of
Conor Mackey the man never misses a training session and is fit as a fiddle.
* Favourite Pitch to play on
Golden is my favourite pitch to play on, the pitch is always in serious nick.
*Name one goal you have before you retire
The ultimate goal is to win as much as I can before I retire and make as many memories as I can but I’d love to play in Croke Park before I hang up my boots.
*Name one change you would bring into hurling
Two points for a sideline cut, a deadly skill to have and I think it should be rewarded more.
*One piece of advice you would give to your younger self
Try to focus on one sport that you love and stick with it, when you’re younger you have time to play multiple sports but as you get older you find it’s much harder to do this, overall if you focus on one sport it will make you a better player and will make you hungrier to succeed in the sport.
