Carrick Davins GAA Club would like to extend our sincere condolences to the Cronin family on the passing of William "Bill" Cronin, just shy of his 104th birthday.
Bill's family have a long connection with the Davins through his sons Seán, Dessie and Liam, who all wore the red and white, while his son Ned also played for the club for a time before moving to England.
That connection has continued into another generation, with Bill's grandson AJ hurling for the Davins and his granddaughter Aoife representing the club at underage level.
To have Bill with them for almost 104 years is remarkable, but his passing will be deeply felt by a family who have shared a lifetime of memories with him.
We extend our sympathies to all of Bill's family, relatives and friends at this sad time.
